Using Preset to setup the Woocommerce shop pages

In G5Theme themes that have been integrated Woocommerce plugin you can setup Woocommerce elements in Woocommerce section Theme Options and main Woocommerce Settings in WP dashboard.

In this article, I will show you an example to using a Preset to setup the full width Woocommerce shop page (i.g: in StartUp theme). Firstly, we will create a new preset that have all options to display an fullwidth layout for any page applied it, then we will apply this preset for Woocommerce shop page (in Preset Settings in Theme Options).

Preset are groups of options that were set beforhand to facilitate use, and overrides options set in the Theme Options (please consult Preset Options article for more details). You can choose the preset to apply for Product Listing page and Single Product page in Preset Settings sections in Theme Options.

This example is just a glimpse of what you can achive by using renewal options in WordPress themes developed by G5Theme, we encourage and highly appreciate discovering the theme by your own way!

Step 1:  Setup Options for the Preset that will be applied for Woocommerce shop page

Note: These above screenshot are StartUp theme demo data, the number of preset options available on each theme are different so we cannot go over them in full detail here.

Step 2:  Set Preset applys for each page type in Theme Options.

Note: As mentioned above, you can also apply Preset to each Page/Post if you want.

When you create a new page/post or edit a page/post, you can choose a preset from drop-down list then apply the preset to the page/post. All settings in the preset will be applied for this page/post (override settings in Theme Options).

Beside 3 major groups of  G5Theme options you can use: Theme Options, Preset, Page Settings  (pls consult our guide on How to use G5Theme Options for more details about the relationship between Theme Options, Preset and Page Options) we have ingrated Post Options recently- which located within each post. Post Options remains settings for single post layout, tag/share/navigation/author info of single post and related posts as well, these options will only affect the individual post you change them on. These G5Theme Options would give to you full control over your website and allow you to customize the design without touching a single line of code.

Any option is set to “Inhirit” which means that it will use the value you have set in Theme Options (Blog section). Insert a different value to override the values in Theme Option.

How to Use Page Options

After relasing a product, G5Theme always listen to our users and continually work to improve our next products. To give you full control over your website and allow you to customize the design without touching a single line of code, we ingrated Page Options – which located within each page and post. Page Options will only affect the individual page you change them on and overrides options set in the Theme Options or Presset.

In recent theme items (such as PASCO, ORION, MOVECO, MOWASALAT, RICA, ARVO etc) G5Theme have 3 major groups of options you can use: Theme Options, Preset, Page Settings. You may also consult our guide on How to use G5Theme Options for more details about the relationship between Theme Options, Preset and Page Options and How to use them to create your website.

Page Options

Base on what theme you’ve used, appearance of Page Options maybe different from each other, however the nature of relationship between Theme Options, Preset and Page Options is NOT affected. Page Options will only affect the individual page you change them on and overrides options set in the Theme Options (or Preset if this page/post apply any preset)

Any option is set to “Default” or “Customize Off“, which means that it will use the value you have set in Preset (if this page apply any Preset) or Theme Options. Insert a different value to override the Preset/ Theme Option value.

Note: Recently, in our lastest themes Page Settings is often divided to 2 sections as below:

Page Settings

Preset and Page Options will use the Theme Options value if left empty or if the value is default. They will override Theme Options if any other value is entered. This setup gives users maximum flexibility for setting a global theme option, then being able to override it on a page/post/shortcode basis.

How to Add New Preset and Apply Preset to a Page/Post

Add a new Preset by accessing to Preset panel in G5Theme options, click on Add New button and follow these steps as below:

How to apply Preset to Theme Options

Access to Theme Options, select the Preset you want to apply to Theme Options then press “Load Preset” button to get all values from the Preset settings to similar options in Theme Options.
Apply a Preset to Theme Options does not only affect to an option but also all options in Theme Options.

Note: Once you choose a Preset and press Load Preset button, it will get all current values in this Preset and apply to options that corresponds in Theme Options (it means that if you change any option in this Preset later will not affect to Theme Options).

How To Use Theme Options

How G5Theme Options Work

In this article, we will show you the relationship between Theme Options, Preset and Page Options and How to use them to create your website.

These Options are the backbone of these themes: ORION, MOVECO, MOWASALAT, RICA, ARVO .They give you full control over your website and allow you to customize the design without touching a single line of code.

There are 3 major groups of options you can set in our themes: Theme Options, Preset, Page Settings

Page Options: Located within each page and post. Page Options will only affect the individual page you change them on and overrides options set in the Theme Options.

Preset are Page Options that were set beforhand to facilitate use, and overrides options set in the Theme Options.

Theme Options : Located in WP Dashboard > G5Theme > Theme Options these options are global options that affect your entire website.

NOTE: Preset and Page Options will use the Theme Options value if left empty or if the value is default. They will override Theme Options if any other value is entered. Below is a screenshot of the Top Bar section in Theme Options. The  Show/Hide Top Bar option is set to Show, which means your Top bar will be displayed on all the pages throughout your site, unless otherwise specified in Preset

Below is a screenshot of the Top Bar section in Page Options. The  Show/Hide Top Bar option is set to Hide, which means on any page apply this preset, you are overriding the same global theme option and your Top Bar will be not display.

– Preset & Page Options – 

If you choose default value in Page Options, it will use the selection you have made in Preset or Theme Options. Insert a different value to override the Preset or Theme Option value.

Below is a screenshot of the Page Title section in Preset. The Show/Hide Page Title option is set to Off, thereby on any page apply this preset will be not display Page Title unless the corresponding option in Page Options is set other value.
